A Google Business Profile Optimization Service That Gets You Into the Map Pack
We run a Google Business Optimization Service for Texas businesses: we claim the profile, set it up properly, keep it alive, and tie it back to a website that supports it. For a local service business, the three results on the map are often the whole game.
Looking for a Google My Business service? Same thing. Google renamed Google My Business to Google Business Profile in 2021, and most people still search for the old name. If that is what brought you here, you are in the right place.
Where the map pack decides
The Map Pin Most Texans Tap First.
Someone searching for a plumber in Weatherford is not reading page two. They tap one of the three businesses on the map, look at the star rating and the photos, and call. That decision takes seconds, and almost all of it is driven by information you control.
The catch is that a Google Business Profile is not a set-and-forget listing. Categories drive which searches you appear in at all. Photos and posts signal that the business is active. Reviews carry weight, and so do your replies to them. And every one of those signals is checked against what your website says.
Two Ways In. Both Fixed Price.
Most Texas businesses already have a profile, whether they made it or not: Google generates them automatically. Which package you need depends on whether yours exists yet.

The Five Mistakes That Hold a GMB Ranking Back.
We have taken over enough profiles to know these come up again and again. None of them are difficult to fix. All of them cost you position while they sit there.
Wrong Primary Category
A general contractor listed as “construction company” when customers search for “roofing contractor”. The profile is fine, it is just answering the wrong question.
Fix: category research against actual local searchesKeyword-stuffed Business Name
“Smith Plumbing – Best Plumber Fort Worth 24/7”. It violates Google’s guidelines, competitors report it, and the suspension costs you weeks.
Fix: real business name, relevance earned elsewhereAddress Mismatch
Suite number on the website, missing on the profile, different again on a directory. Small inconsistencies, real ranking cost.
Fix: full NAP audit and cleanupReviews Left Unanswered
Especially the negative ones. Prospective customers read the reply more carefully than the review itself.
Fix: reply policy and templates that do not sound cannedNothing Since Setup
Last photo two years old, no posts, no Q&A. The profile reads as a business that may not exist any more.
Fix: a light monthly upkeep rhythmNo Landing Page Behind It
The profile points at a homepage that never mentions the town. The signal stops at the click.
Fix: matching local page with LocalBusiness schemaRecognise any of these on your own profile? Send us the business name and we will tell you which ones apply.
Google My Business Set Up, Then Ongoing Optimization.
Setup is a one-time job with a fixed price. Keeping the profile alive afterwards is optional, and we will tell you honestly whether your category needs it.
How to Improve Your Google My Business Ranking.
Google ranks local results on three things: relevance, distance and prominence. Two of them we can work on. One of them we cannot, and any GMB optimization service that claims otherwise is selling you something.
Two of the three factors are ours to work on. See what that costs.
SEO and Google My Business Are One Job, Not Two.
A Google Business Profile does not sit on its own. Google checks what the profile claims against the website it points at, and the strength of that website feeds the prominence half of your local ranking.
That is why a profile pointing at a slow, thin site stalls at the edge of the map pack no matter how well it is filled out, and why we treat this as part of local SEO rather than a standalone trick. It is also why we will tell you plainly when the profile is not your problem.
GMB Optimization Services: Common Questions.
What is the difference between Google My Business and Google Business Profile?
They are the same product. Google renamed Google My Business to Google Business Profile in 2021 and retired the separate app, moving management into Search and Maps directly. Most people still search for the old name, and plenty of agencies still sell it as GMB optimization. If someone tells you they are different services, they are either out of date or hoping you are.
What does a Google Business Optimization Service actually do?
Four things: it gets the profile claimed and verified, it fills in every field Google offers with the right information, it keeps the profile active with posts, photos and review replies, and it makes sure what the profile says matches your website and every directory listing you appear in. The first two are one-time work. The last two are why profiles slide when nobody maintains them.
How long does Google My Business set up and verification take?
The build itself takes a few days. Verification is Google’s timeline, not ours: postcard verification usually lands in five to fourteen days, video verification is often same-week, and a rejected attempt can add two to three weeks. We handle the resubmissions.
How long until I show up in the map pack?
A corrected profile often moves within two to six weeks, because category and consistency fixes are read quickly. Getting into the top three in a contested town takes longer and depends on reviews and the strength of your website.
Can I optimize my Google Business Profile myself?
Yes, and if you have the time we will tell you which parts to do first. The profile is free and every field is available to you. What most owners run out of is not ability but consistency: posts, fresh photos and review replies every month, for years. That is what we are actually being paid for.
How much does GMB optimization cost?
We charge $450 to overhaul an existing profile and $650 to build and verify a new one, both one-time and fixed before we start. Across the market, professional setup and optimization runs roughly $300 to $500. Anything under $100 is usually an automated listing blast, which creates duplicates you will later pay someone to clean up.
My profile was suspended. Can you help?
Usually. Most suspensions come from a keyword-stuffed business name, an address that cannot be verified, or a category that does not match the actual business. We fix the cause first, then file the appeal, because appealing without fixing the cause just restarts the clock.
Does the number of reviews affect my ranking?
Yes, both count and average rating feed the prominence signal, and so do your replies. What does not work is buying them: Google filters obvious patterns and a purge can remove years of reviews at once. We set up a request process that fits how you already talk to customers.
Can you get bad reviews removed?
Only if they break Google’s rules, and we will tell you honestly whether yours do. What works better is replying well. A calm, specific reply to a bad review does more for the next customer reading it than the review itself costs you.
Why does my competitor outrank me even though my reviews are better?
Usually distance or category. If their registered address sits closer to where people are searching, they start ahead and no amount of profile work closes that gap alone. If their primary category matches the search better than yours, they are eligible for results you are not. The first is geography, the second we fix in an afternoon.
Do I need this if I already do SEO?
They overlap but they are not the same. SEO wins you organic listings; the profile wins you the map pack, which sits above them for local searches. Doing one without the other leaves half the page to a competitor.
Do you work with businesses outside Texas?
Our clients are Texas businesses and that is where we know the markets, from Fort Worth and Weatherford to Abilene and out to Midland. A profile does not need us in the room, so distance is not the limit. Understanding your market is.
We Will Look at Your Profile Before You Spend Anything.
Send us your business name and town. We will tell you what is wrong with the profile, whether it is worth fixing, and what it would cost. No obligation either way.
